Jersey Trust Company appoints group finance director
Jersey Trust Company has appointed Becky Darts as director of its accounting and finance department. Darts is a chartered accountant who joined the business as an accounts manager in 2001.
Her promotion to director will see Darts taking responsibility for both the internal and client accounts teams. “I am delighted to have the opportunity to progress my career with the company and look forward to embracing the new challenges I will be facing,” she said.
“Jersey Trust Company is a great place to work and I thrive on forward thinking, something I am able to do with fantastic support from the company. The business is continuing to grow and I am delighted to have been promoted to this pivotal role at such an exciting time.”
Nigel Le Quesne, group managing director of Jersey Trust Company, said: “Jersey Trust Company made a strategic decision to develop the business independent of any institutional links. This independence allows flexibility, quick decision making and an ability to choose from a vast network of professional contacts (including accountants, tax advisers, banks and investment advisers) to ensure a bespoke and uncompromised service for our clients.
“Our independent and flexible approach has given us the opportunity to work with a global client base, from large corporations through to entrepreneurial individuals and those experiencing first generation wealth. We pride ourselves on a personal and efficient approach with a commitment to tailor our services to meet the needs of the client. This process is overseen by professionally qualified individuals including accountants, lawyers, chartered bankers, chartered secretaries and trust and estate practitioners.
Darts is a keen sportswoman and plays football for St John’s ladies and hockey for RWB ladies. She also represents Jersey in these sports and is hoping to travel to the Island Games to represent Jersey this summer.
