Gonzalez joins Investec Trust

January 9, 2009 – Luis Gonzalez, an experienced trust professional – has joined Investec Trust as a director of the Guernsey business. He will provide senior support for significant UK non-domiciled private clients with a diverse range of structures and he will have particular responsibility for property interests.

In addition his responsibilities will include business development, strengthening Investec’s network of London intermediaries. He joins the firm from Rothschild Trust, where he spent nine years as a managing director with a responsibility for a non-UK portfolio, focusing on Spanish language countries.

Gonzelez is a qualified lawyer with knowledge of a variety of jurisdictions, having worked in Grand Cayman, London and Jersey, before settling in Guernsey in 1999. He has been a member of the Guernsey Association of Trustees since 2001. Investec Trust managing director Jane Kerins said: “His Latin American knowledge and his considerable expertise in a wide range of our business areas will be a significant resource for us.”
