JerseyShorrock quits Deloitte for Baker Platt   

September 19, 2008 - Jersey law firm Baker Platt has appointed Ed Shorrock as director of forensic and regulatory services. He joins from Deloitte and Touche’s Channel Islands practice. 

ShorrockHe has worked for a variety of private institutions, law firms and Jersey and foreign government agencies. The group says Shorrock will play a key role in developing BakerPlatt’s forensic, regulatory and compliance practice areas. Shorrock is a qualified chartered accountant and he has extensive knowledge of the international financial services industry. His particular expertise lies in dealing with asset management and fiduciary operations, litigation support and insolvency work. 

In addition, he has managed a range of projects involving complex asset seizures under drug trafficking and proceeds of crime legislation for the Viscount’s department.  He has also led a set of regulatory appointments and investigations for the Jersey Financial Services Commission relating to asset management and fiduciary legislation.
